These screen snapshots are reduced in size and quality as compared to the actual screen display.
The Master Menu along with the Master Journal is the main screen in Glucose Journal and Database. You'll spend most of your time using the Master Menu and the Master Journal. All other features and options spring from this screen.
The Master Journal contains all of the glucose test record results you have added to the database. These records are always kept in perfect order by date and time. The Custom Journals only display specific records selected from the Master Journal. The particular records included in each of the Custom Journals are selected based upon criteria you specify.
The Add New Record(s) screen is used to add your blood glucose test results to the database. A date and a time is required for each record. You can easily select the value you wish to enter from a list, or you can type in the value. Optionally, you may add medicine amounts, blood pressure readings, and notes or comments for your blood glucose test result record. The Edit Record screen is very similar to the Add New Record(s) screen.
The Pie Chart gives you a picture of your blood glucose test results. Each slice of the pie represents the number and percentage of blood glucose test results you recorded for that slice's glucose range. The Pie Chart can be created for the Master Journal (which always contains all of your blood glucose records) and for each of the Custom Journals. A Bar Chart can also be shown. Both the Pie Chart and the Bar Chart can be printed.
Six Custom Journals can be produced from the Master Journal. The Custom Journals give you powerful ways to separate a selected range of blood glucose test result records away from all of the blood glucose test result records kept in the Master Journal. The Custom Journals help you to analyze your blood sugar readings.
In this screen snapshot, the input ranges dialog for the Glucose and Date Custom Journal is shown. You type in a range of glucose values, and the dates these glucose values should fall within, in order to create a Glucose and Date Custom Journal.
For example, suppose you type in a Starting Glucose value of 90 and an Ending Glucose value of 150, and also type in a Start Date of 1/1/2006 and an End Date of 12/31/2007. A Glucose and Date Custom Journal would then be created from only the blood glucose test result records in the Master Journal which meet these glucose and date range criteria. A Pie Chart or a Bar Chart can also be displayed of this Glucose and Date Custom Journal. A text report can be created and displayed on screen or printed.
The Master Journal, the six Custom Journals, the text reports, the Pie Chart, and the Bar Chart, are powerful tools for analyzing your blood sugar readings.
